ANTICIPATED FALL 2020 CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

DANCE

Snellville Performing Arts will offer classes and workshops for multiple ages this Fall.  In our combined Ballet-Jazz-Tap class for our youngest dancers, 3-4 year olds will learn the basic movement and terminology, focusing on building gross motor skills, making controlled movements, and gaining confidence in these three areas of dance.  Our Ballet, and combined Jazz-Tap classes are split for ages 5-7 and 8-10 and will focus on learning the fundamentals of each area's technique, as well as train students in those areas as they develop control, strength, and coordination.  Each class will use warm-ups, exercises, and combinations to learn, encourage, and develop rhythm, technique, and performance skills.  We also host a fun music and movement class where ages 3-7 will use props and guided movement to music from animated movies they know and love!  SPA offers a fitness-based KidFit class for ages 7 & up with guided movements to upbeat, popular, kid-friendly music that is a great cardio workout to encourage healthy lifestyle choices.  We also offer another fitness-based Conditioning class that is open for students 11 & Up.  This course encourages students to learn, understand, and put to practice a variety of conditioning skills that will help actors and dancers of any level.  Finally, SPA will offer a variety of one day dance workshops during the weekends this Fall.

VOICE

Snellville Performing Arts has multiple Music Directors and voice teachers available for private voice lessons.  SPA will also offer a Studio Voice class this Fall where students will have the opportunity to work together with our Music Directors to enhance their vocal skills with breathing techniques, vowel placement, and learn a variety of exercises to condition and train their voices.  In this class, students will use the skills learned to focus on a song to prepare them for auditions or performance.

THEATRE PERFORMANCE

Snellville Performing Arts will offer a theatre performance class that focuses on Acting Through Song for Musical Theatre performance.  This class will allow students to work together toward a final presentation that will require each student to perform a short monologue based off of the lyrics of a song, as well as create a short, filmed performance based on expressing emotion through a musical piece.

Snellville Performing Arts offers a number of class options including our regular Fall and Spring semester classes, workshops, camps, and other opportunities throughout the year.  Our staff members, teachers, students, and families all work together to create a supporting, engaging, and fun atmosphere.  We encourage our students to not only learn skills in dance, voice, and performance, but also recognize and encourage personal, emotional, and social growth, as well.  Snellville Performing Arts strives to serve the whole student and we expect everyone who enters our doors to add to this compassionate experience.
