WILD THINGS
MUSICAL PRODUCTION FOR PREK-1ST GRADE

FOR THIS SPRING CLASS!

SPA'S Wild Things productions are open to performers in PreK-1st Grade.  Wild Things performers will have the opportunity to perform in our Fall and Spring mini-musicals class where they will create a musical out of beloved storybooks and fairy tales.

This Spring 2024, our Wild Things will learn and perform The Rainbow Fish.

The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister is a book about a unique fish with shimmering scales. Other fish admire him and request some of his scales because they want to share in his beauty. At first reluctant, Rainbow Fish eventually relents and finds he enjoys sharing his scales.

The Rainbow Fish is a lovely, heart-warming story of sharing and the happiness that sharing can bring yourself and others.  It also depicts how difficult sharing can be and the impact that sharing can have on friendships.  The story has a great, age-appropriate message that can help children learn valuable lessons about sharing and friendship!

OT!

SPA's Company is our Community Theatre production company open to adult performers ages 16+.  Company performers will have the opportunity to perform in our Fall and Spring full length productions, as well as an Emerging Artist production for recent grads and returning college students each Summer.

This Spring 2024, our Company performers will take on The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

In the production, an eclectic group of six quirky adolescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the contestants spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion... but at least the losers get a juice box? A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius.

Audition By Appointment:

January 15th-19th 5pm-8pm
