Programs

Snellville Performing Arts is excited to offer a wide variety of programs all built to serve our community!  We offer Musical Theatre classes and productions for all ages, fitness workshops and bootcamps, Mommy/Daddy & Me classes, and tons of community events for the whole family!

 

There is something for everyone to enjoy and we are always adding new classes, programs, and events to our calendar!  We are happy to help you find the right programs and classes to fit your needs and we look forward to seeing you in the studio and on our stage!

musical theatre

Our Musical Theatre programs provide opportunities for students of all ages, from toddlers to adults, to take the stage! We have divisions for every age group which will include recitals, performances, and showcases, but we will also hold open auditions for full company productions which could include performers from any of our programs, as well as actors and actresses from anywhere in our surrounding communities.

TODDLERS TO PRESCHOOL

Interactive and engaging experiences focused on strengthening both fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, listening skills, and a variety of other learning objectives of Early Childhood Education.

Wild Things

PRE-K TO KINDERGARTEN

KINDERGARTEN TO 1ST GRADE

“If you don’t do WILD THINGS when you’re young, you’ll have nothing to smile about when you’re old.”
Fun, hands-on experiences with music and movement along with manipulatives that further focus on developing fine and gross motor muscles and skills, hand-eye coordination, listening & following directions, and other skills while keeping the play-to-learn focus encouraged by top Early Childhood theorists and leaders in education.

Elementary Company

SECOND GRADE TO

FIFTH GRADE

Our Elementary Company will learn and perform musicals from the Music Theatre International Junior catalogue and have the opportunity to audition for applicable roles in Company productions. Students will learn acting techniques, receive ensemble and individual vocal training, and learn fun choreography! All members of Elementary Company will be cast in the show, with open auditions held for specific roles. Elementary company will also learn a festival-cut of their production and have the opportunity to perform at events throughout the year!

Junior

Company

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Our Junior Company will learn and perform full-length musicals from the Music Theatre International Junior catalogue and have the opportunity to audition for
applicable roles in Company productions. Students will learn acting techniques, receive ensemble and individual vocal training, and learn more challenging choreography! All members of Junior Company will be cast in the show, with open auditions held for specific roles; Snellville Performing Arts will hold fully produced performances of the musicals. Junior company will also learn a festival-cut of their production and have the opportunity to perform at events throughout the year!

Varsity

Company

HIGH SCHOOL

Our Varsity Company will learn and perform full-length musicals from the Music Theatre International High School Edition and general catalogue. Students will be challenged with more intensive learning, including acting techniques, ensemble and individual vocal training, and choreography! All members of Varsity Company will be cast in the show, with open auditions held for specific roles; Snellville Performing Arts will hold fully produced performances of the musical. Varsity company will also learn a festival-cut of their production and have the opportunity to perform at events throughout the year!

Main Street Players

COLLEGE

& RECENT GRADUATES

Our Main Street Players include college students and recent graduates breaking into the world of professional theatre in the metro-Atlanta and surrounding areas. Snellville Performing Arts is thrilled to showcase talented performers, lighting designers, costumers, directors, choreographers, stage managers, and other rising theatre professionals in this program. Each production will shine a spotlight on local artists and will provide them with opportunities to grow, learn, and work toward building their professional resumes. The Breakout Artists will not only have opportunities to perform, but will also work with a Snellville Performing Arts Producing Director to choose musicals, plays, and other performance pieces and will learn how to arrange a production from pre-planning to post-show and everything in between.

Company

ALL AGES

Snellville Performing Arts: Company is the umbrella under which all performers, staff members, interns, volunteers, and any other involved individuals are gathered. Whether we are seasoned theatre professionals or newcomers to the stage, together, we make up a family that is excited to share our vision with Snellville and the surrounding communities.  We can't wait for you to join us!

classes & workshops

Snellville Performing Arts will offer a variety of classes and workshops including those in acting, dance, movement, study, and design.  Our classes will vary each semester, but will include offerings like Acting for the Camera, Acting Through Song, Bodyflow, Ballet, Intro to Dance & Movement, Musical Theatre for Beginners, Script Analysis, Costume Design, Stage Makeup, and more.  We will also host Master Classes taught by professionals from around the country and offer special workshops throughout the year.

private lessons

Snellville Performing Arts, Inc partners with and houses seasoned performing arts professionals who are enthusiastic about growing students of all ages through private lessons in voice, dance, acting, various musical instruments (piano, guitar, etc) and other performance arts. Students will have opportunities to perform in Snellville Performing Arts: Company recitals, showcases, seasonal performances, and community events throughout the year.

school break intensives

Snellville Performing Arts, Inc will run School Break Intensives along the Fall, Winter, and Spring Breaks of the Gwinnett County Public Schools calendar.  These intensives will include ensemble vocals, choreography, design and construction, improv games, fun activities, and much more.  We will also offer intensives throughout the summer where students will have a showcase performance at the end of each one-week or two-week camp, with a different theme or production for each intensive.

community events

Snellville Performing Arts, Inc will host community events with all admission or all donations used toward bettering our programs for our students, as well as creating scholarship options for students in need.  Snellville Performing Arts will also hold a number of sponsored events to directly benefit local families, as well as to encourage a sense of community while living out one of our heartfelt tenets:
